Pet Waste Stations Ribbon Cutting
to be held on Saturday, April 21, in Hartford
—Pet owners encouraged to ‘Bring Your Own Dog’ to event—
What: Dedication and Ribbon Cutting of the five new Pet Waste Stations available for use along the Hartford Bike Trails and City Parks. Local Cadette Girl Scout Troop 50087 is hosting this B.Y.O.D. (Bring Your Own Dog) in conjunction with the Ribbon Cutting to encourage area pet owners to dispose of pet waste as part of their Silver Award project.
When: Saturday, April 21, 1:00 p.m.
Where: Near the big bridge in Turtle Creek Park, Hartford, S.D.
The troop identified this community need as part of their Silver Award project by listening to complaints by area residents who noticed dog waste along the trail and community members who were not taking the time to clean up their pet’s waste. It is important for waste to be cleaned up for the following reasons:
